Time management
I am currently working on my evaluation, l have completed Question 1,2&43. I am now working on question 4 and l am aspiring to get all the questions completed tonight.
I am currently unsure of how to present these questions as l want to avoid repeating some technologies.

Design Progress
My front cover
This is my (what l believe to be), completed front cover. Since last editing it l have added some secondary images of album covers to go on the stapline of my magazine. The images are ones which l did take myself of CD's that l own.
My contents page
Now with my contents page l have a few issues that l need to sort out once l get back to college such a image quality- which i will edit on photoshop.
Time Management Update
Its been a long Christmas period and a very relaxing one, so i'm taking my last few days to do some intense catching up on media - again. I've downloaded the Indesign free trial and have so far completed the front page and the contents page. There were a few errors with fonts and l needed to download them, l downloaded the majority of them but there a few l were unable to get due to the Indesign free trial. So l compromised and made what l can with them.
Double page spread-I am going to do that now then my magazine will be complete. I will then uploaded it onto a private facebook page I'd have made and get my friends to comment on what l need to possibly improve before finalizing my magazine.
Also today if l can l will get any miscellaneous posts completed and uploaded as well as start doing my=draft evaluation for Thursday.
Also since l got a new computer for Christmas l have minimal software on it so the design updates will be a challenge but l will think of a different way of presenting my screen shots and explanations for what I've done to my magazine.

Photoshoot for my magazine
Front Cover Photo Shoot
Front Cover
For my front cover l wanted a picture to represent the majority of my target audience, so I used myself as the model due to my age, my appearance and my accessibility. Here are a few shots I took for my magazine front cover.
These are the photos I took for my front cover. All these photos are taken with my own camera since l know how to use it and l can get access to it whenever l wish. The photo on the right is a photo that l took from my own house, the way l took this was by using a timer setting on my camera and placing the camera on a shelf or heightened surface. However as you can see the picture came out blurry, and I presume it was due to the camera automatically taking the photo then having it manually taken. Also l found the lighting was poor and lowered the quality of my photo. So l decided to get a more professional look i'd need to have better lighting, a plain background and someone to manually take the photo. So l got someone to take the photo of me and found it useful because I'd already expressed what kind of photo l wanted to achieve so we could correspond and have a mutual agreement that my image was of good quality, as it would be on the front cover of my magazine and the first thing my audience would see. I didn't have a tripod for my camera so it was took by hand. The photo l chose to put on my magazine cover was the picture on the top left. I chose this because l felt it represented my audience best and the photography was clear and not blurred. I rejected the two photos adjacent to it because personally l didn't feel they'd appeal as much to my target audience and the angles they were taken at weren't as professional as the picture on the left.
Contents Page
For my contents page I used the same procedure as with my front cover however l took the photos myself of the models that were being used in my magazine. But since l took the photos myself l had more preparation to them, so this lowered the amount of photos l took. So in some cases for this photoshoot l only took photos using one take, because l felt happy with the result and felt it'd appeal to my target audience. Here are some examples of this.
My double page spread
During this period of time, there wasn't anyone available to take the photos for me, so l took them myself using the camera timer. With previous disasters using the camera timer, l was especially careful and made sure it was in focus and the lighting was appropriate. Ensuring this however, wasn't as simple as l imagined it would be and l still ended up with some photos that were more blurred then l intended them to be.
As you can see the lighting in the second one is two bright, and l wasn't happy with the way these images turned out. I didn't think they were good enough quality or that they would be consistent with my house styles.
The image l went for in the end was...
As l was more confident my makeup and and body language would appeal to my audience more in this photo in comparison with the others.

Time Management
I haven't been in college all week due to illness so I'm downloading in design to continue my magazine design. Currently I'm still behind but i'm catching up and there should be more blog posts uploaded today.

Time Managment
I am sturggling to keep up with my blog posts. They shall all hopefully be uploaded today - I have also planned to take some photogrpahs today of my friends to upload onto my magazine. The reasoning for my lack of blog posts is a lack of work motivation and other heavy lessons which take up my time.

Design Update
This is a design update on what I’m currently doing, this is
what the front cover of my magazine. l had some class feedback, and they like
my house styles and the way layout but l need to add a picture and a barcode. I
would also like to experiment with the font styles since it looks a little too
formal for my target audience, so l could experiment with different fonts. Once
l have uploaded my images onto the front cover it will look more professional.
I think that it does have aspects of a music magazine -
since I’m filling a gap in the market, I’m trying to find out what works best
for the audience I’m trying to achieve.
This shouldn't take too long to complete.

Masthead experimentation
This is the font that l will experiment with and see if it
suits the rest of my magazine. It will be for my masthead. I chose it because
it looks appropriate for my target audience and it could work really well with
the images l have planned to go on the front cover.
Cover line Ideas
For this lesson l decided to think about whatt coverlines l want to include in my magazine. I started to look at what fonts l wanted to use for my masthead-but it took a while to decide so l moved onto creating the coverlines. After l got potential coverlines l picked one and started to edit it on InDesign. I experimented with colours; then got feedback from a fellow student (who is also creating a pop genre music magazine), and she like the position of my splash.
